Almost Xmas so trying to get things in place and stock the house for fun. Steve got new Jammies which are awesome. They are a nice Plaid pattern in Fleece, and i added a Denim vest that Dexter used to own. He looks like a local redneck now. ( which we love).

Pixie emergency vet

Pixie got her shots yesterday morning, a new 3 yr distemper shot and a Bordatella shot.By 6:30 pm she had a bad reaction to someting and had Chipmunk Cheeks. Poor baby. we took her to the emergency vet and he said it was too late to have a reaction that it was probably due to a spider. Who knows. She is better today, no more Chippy cheeks and acting crazy.

New Tool Jammies

Steve got a new set of Jammies. the tools are cute..

I love that my babies are snuggling with each other. Pixie probably won't ever do this, but It's nice to See Polly and Steve cuddling up. With winter coming it will be nice for them to snuggle. I went to the vet and picked up a new Tick treatment called Vectra 3D. I hope it works, it was messy.

Rain! November 4th

Well i woke up and realized it was pouring rain, so i gave it an extra 15 minutes and it seemed to be lighter so i ran the pups out for their first pee break. They went b/c they were holding it all night. Then i fed them and went back to bed for an hour. Got up and ran them out for potty time. They went, but they were not happy. Steve in his Zebra Jammies..I can dry the jammies pretty easily, with my dog towel. The pups have been missing daddy. he'll be home tonight.

Flame Jammies!

The pups got some matching Flame Jammies and i love them. They will come in handy in January..Brrr.. i hate to think about it. No trick or treaters last night, and probably none tonight.

TICKS!!

We have seen more ticks this past week than ever. i think i am going to try to spray the yard, altho i don't know how long that will take since it's 1.27 acres..But even Steve had a deer tick on his fleece today. it's been awful. I'm looking online for the best way to do this. most of them involve a hose, but our hoses don't reach the entire fenced yard.

October 22, 2010

Can't believe it is almost November. What a crazy year. i wish we had been abl to move, but we're stuck here for another year. The dogs don't mind. They have a nice fenced yard. But winter will be hard with our first Naked dog. Good thing he has lots of Jammies to keep him warm.

Steve will be a Bat for Halloween! Here he is in his wings and trying to fly! Pixie was trying to catch him, but he's so fast..

October 15th my anniversary

today i'm married 16 years. <3. Steve got his package in the mail of more Jammies. i wanted some lighter ones for days when it's slightly chilly but not cold enough for fleece. I got blue stripes and Salmon stripes. they are really nice and stretchy fabric. The dogs are all getting along very well now. Pixie got something in the mail too. Mink oil spray to help with her mats. i hope it helps.

Columbus Day.

Well, Yesterday was fun. Steve has decided that our fruit trees leave apples and pears for him to eat, so i have to try to get them all over the fence before he eats them. They give him diarrhea, b/c he does not know when to stop. So i was picking a few off a high branch and 3 fell on the ground. Steve grabbed one before i could stop him. As hubby and i are laughing at him, he takes the apple and runs and stops to face us. Rick went after him and so did i. He wanted to dash around us, but he couldn't, so he was playing with us. We got him to drop the apple and Rick got it and threw it over the fence. So Steve gets all silly and starts doing butt-tuck zoomies all around us. As fast as possible. it was very fast. Pixie and polly decide now is a good time to chase him and so they all are zooming around us and we're laughing so hard. This is why we have dogs. They make us laugh and feel good.

Saturday Oct 9th

Well, The collar and Harness arrived finally from K9Closet. I like them, but the stitching on the harness is not centered, so i am guessing they were just rushing.I know she had 200+ orders for that sale, so it's not surprising. I still like them, they are soft and look pretty sturdy. Now Steve can be safe at day care for walk time. the collar is nice, the rhinestones add a nice touch. I sent out some FLame fabric to Canada this morning. i really like the Flame Jammies i ordered but it turned out to be too tight for Steve, so Polly gets them. Now i can have a pair made for Steve and Also one for Pixie. 3 Flame jammies will be so cute. I think i'm addicted to jammies now. I need to settle down. Steve has enough now. The girls can use one more pair, then i'm done. looks like a nice day for the dogs to play outside.

Poop rolling

ok, So I took the crew out for their pee-poop time. I don't allow them to play in my bedroom while i get ready, unless they have gone outside. Then i know we're safe. They were all doing their thing, and Polly went into the tall grass, which i assumed she was pooping, b/c she is very shy about going. When i got them all to come to the house, Polly had big black smudges on her jaws and up the sides of her neck. UGH!! I'm still in my bathrobe at this point. so i carried her downstairs for a quick spot bath, but it turned into a large spot bath. She was so filthy. She's usually such a prissy girl, but not today..I am praying the Collar and harness arrive today.

October 7th, 2010

Well, Yesterday was full of doggy fun. Steve likes to mark his sister's pee spots, and sometimes he can't wait until they are done, so Polly got peed on again, and i had to wash her off, then Steve stomped in his own poop, and i had to clean his foot off, gross!! He also enjoys munching on leftover fruit in the yard from the pear and apple trees, so i have to make sure to throw the fruit over the fence. He keeps me on my toes, like most terriers do. But he's a cutie. He acts like he's new at all of this. I am not sure what kind of life he lived with his previous owners, but it makes me wonder. They dogs all played this morning, but Steve did get a bit rough and tumble. i had to call to him to relax a couple times. Poor Pixie gets scared b/c she is so little, but he does push her buttons, then she chases him which is what he wants. Then he tries to Body slam Pix. She is too small for him to be doing that. they are all getting along great, Pixie and Steve are in the same doggy bed right now, but play time it's hard to tell him to calm down and play gentle.

day care today

The pups are at day care. I had a ton of errands to get done, and i'm glad i got it all done. Vacuumed and cleaned up a bit. I went to check the mail and was disappointed that My K9 Closet collar and Harness are still in transit to me. I want to get them already. Poor Steve has to use an old collar for now.

October 5th 2010

Took Steve for his second Lyme Vaccination today. Then we went to Petsmart. We got a few new toys, that i hope are not as easy for him to destroy. He has destroyed a few since he's been here. He was a good boy at PetSmart. it's raining, so we got home and i got all 3 outside to pee. Now they are resting. I wish his Collar and Harness would arrive, I ordered them a month ago, and i know they were sent out, but it's been a long wait. tomorrow he has to go to daycare again with the old collar.

October 4th 2010

Here is my first post, I decided to start this b/c i have a lot of new doggy info to share, and wanted an easy way to share it all but not overload a website with my stuff. My husband is Rick, And we have no human children. We never will. We much prefer animals, so I have a horse, A beautiful Appaloosa named Shooter. We also have 3 dogs. Pixie came first, she came from a breeder, she is a Chinese Crested Powder puff. She was born Sept 7th, 2008. Then we adopted Polly from a rescue, She is also a CCPP, and her Birthday is October 1st, 2007. We had previously owned 2 Jack Russell Terriers, and they passed each at age 13. When we saw an American Hairless Terrier up for adoption, we thought about it and decided to go for it. Steve is his name. His birthday is April 11, 2009. We just brought Steve home, so there is a lot of transitioning going on within the pack. We are letting it all work itself out, and nothing bad is going on, so it's better that way. Currently, Steve and Polly were sharing a dog bed, which is great. I know this blog will take work, so i'm trying to figure it all out.
